The eFactory
The eFactory business incubator is the epicenter of entrepreneurship in southwest Missouri. It is a collaborative work environment where entrepreneurs can launch their early-stage ventures and take them to the next level. Beyond acting as the host for SPIN66, the eFactory hosts other great events aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in Springfield, such as 1 Million Cups, the MATA Idea Mashup, the Originate Idea Wakeup, Startup Weekend, and more.
Mercy R&D
Mercy Research & Development (R&D) is a fast-growing, multidisciplinary, research and development group within Mercy Health System located in Springfield, MO. Mercy R&D is the concept creator of SPIN66, which was born out of a desire to cultivate a community of innovators in southwest Missouri. The group works with medical and healthcare companies and organizations from around the state and beyond to accelerate new medical technologies to market and seeks to bolster healthcare-related innovation and ventures in the Springfield area.

Diana is a successful entrepreneur, having founded and sold a number of ventures, a Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Missouri and a Senior Fellow at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the largest non-profit in the world dedicated to entrepreneurship and education. A Georgetown-educated attorney who left a successful practice to launch her first company, Diana draws on her experience as a founder, investor, and academic to train companies and non-profits how to be more innovative and how to get their employees to think like entrepreneurs.

The Pitch Pit is an investment pitch competition that will pit five of southwest Missouri’s top ventures against each other to compete for up to $5,000 in cash and/or business services. We've scoured local incubators, co-working sites, and universities to find the top early-stage ventures in southwest Missouri. Our panel of expert judges will determine which one has what it takes to push their product or service to the next level.
